Bud's Website Glitch
Dang! I was poking around Budgunshop.com checking availability on a carry pistol for my wife (after checking out all the recs on G-Pond's thread), and holy cow - in Taurus revolvers, there's a whole bunch of new toys available. Sure enough, there's my Judge with the 3" chamber, so I snap it up.
I just figured they'd been closed for inventory all last week, and they found a bunch of stuff in stock they didn't know they had. Well, a couple hours later I get back from pricing .38 revolvers locally, deciding Bud's deal on the CIA 850 +P was better than what I found around here. I bring up the website, and a notice says something to the effect that they've had a software glitch that's showing a bunch of stuff in stock that they don't really have. They've shut down the online ordering system, and anybody that's ordered something they don't have will get a refund. What do you bet they don't have my Judge or any 850s? Bummer....:bawling: |

Oh man that sucks! I had that happen to me at impact guns a couple years back they had something I really wanted, showed in stock ordered it and the next day they called me and said it was on backorder indefinitely.
I've never ordered from Bud's but I have heard good things. |

Thanks RK. Not a big loss - I already have three Judges (sounds like I'm trying to seat the Supreme Court, eh?), all different. I wanted this one because it takes 3" .410 shells, which seem to be easier to find than the 2.5" nowadays. I'm sure one will turn up somewhere.
And yeah, Latitide, Bud's is a great outfit to deal with. The only time there was a (very small) problem with one of my orders, they threw in some extra merchandise for my troubles. You usually don't see that in this business. |
